If you want to transfer a domain from one registrar company to another, you’ll need a unique code, which may be referred to by many names – an EPP key, an AuthInfo code, a domain name password, etc. All these names refer to the same thing – a code that the domain registrant obtains from the present domain name registrar and gives to the new one at the time of the order. Without an authentic code, a transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the protection measures against unauthorized transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even better security, the code contains digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so in case you want to transfer one of your domains, you have to provide the new domain registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting

If you’ve got a domain registered through our company and you’ve got a shared hosting account with us, getting its EPP code is remarkably easy. You won’t have to log in and out of different tools, since you can manage all your domain names through the same Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which is used to manage your shared web hosting account. You will see all active domain names as soon as you log in and on the right side of the domains whose extensions require an EPP authentication code in order to be transferred, you will notice a tiny EPP icon. All it takes to obtain this code is to click on the icon. The code is always emailed to the domain owner’s email address, so in case the one that you specified at first is not valid any longer, you can modify it with a couple of mouse clicks from the same section.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you’d like to transfer any domain name that’s registered under a semi-dedicated server account away from us, you can get its EPP transfer authorization code with a few clicks from your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domains will be listed in a different Control Panel section. Quick-access controls will permit you to use separate functions. To obtain the transfer code, you simply have to click the EPP logo, which will be next to any domain whose TLD extension supports transfers with a transfer authorization code. Our system will email the code to the registrant’s email address, which is currently listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record. If you wish, you can change this email from the same Control Panel section before requesting the transfer authorization code. The update will propagate momentarily, so you will not have to wait for the new email address to show up on WHOIS sites.
